After my apprenticeship as a video technician at the Nuremberg School of Broadcasting from 1981 to 1987, I worked as a vision mixer, editor, special effects operator, and assistant director at the ZDF network. During this time I also worked as a freelancer for a variety of TV networks and production companies.
For over 25 years I have worked as a freelance director and have had the opportunity to work on productions as diverse as special events, filmed and live entertainment, fiction films and series, and industry productions.
Among other productions I directed the first 100 episodes of „7 Tage - 7 Köpfe“ for the RTL network in Germany, "Judge Barbara Salesch,“ and "Die Harald Schmidt Show" for the Sat.1 network, "The Sunday Concert Series" for ZDF, and marketing films for companies including AEG and the Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper.
My focus has been in artistic interpretation of music and in fictional and staged studio productions.
As an event director, I have worked (since 2002) for numerous international companies. Together with leading event agencies, I work on the conception, design, and creation of complex media productions and develop them into precise, smooth-running, and engaging final forms.
On behalf of Oliver Schrott Communications, from 2002 to 2009 I directed all the world premiers for Daimler, which included projects ranging from the Maybach world premier in New York to the E-Class launch in Detroit. For Audi, I directed their management conferences from 2006 to 2011.
From 2011 to 2013 I had been in charge of directing the televised celebrations of the State National Day of Qatar on behalf of the State National Day Celebrations Organizing Committee (SNDCOC).
As a director, I am known for my ability to responsibly manage. I am artistically exacting and can be counted on to reliably and seamlessly produce an event. I am fluent in the language, method, and form of both industry and media, from corporate events to video and TV.
